Position Summary
This role is based in Gonzales, CA. Quality Assurance Lead shall follow Food Safety and Quality Assurance activities that assure product quality and enhance production while adhering to Misionero’s Food Safety Program. This position will supervise QA technicians, review records, and verify the completion of shift work
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
•Monitor production operations for compliance with Food Safety and Quality Standards.
•Work with raw product, wash lines, and finished product (pack out).
•Test product according to specifications and validate products are produced withing specifications.
•Responsible for recording results of the data and reporting the results.
•Responsible for enforcing good manufacturing practices GMP’s.
•Must evaluate and inspect incoming raw product, work in progress and finished goods according to specification.
•Must evaluate shelf life, retains, and new product development.
•Perform pre-operational inspections.
•Replenish chemicals as needed.
•Performs tests and records data.
•Conducts Good Manufacturing Practice Audits.
•Conducts checks at Critical Control Points (CCP’s)
•Ensures compliance with HACCP, GMP and Safety.
•Other duties as needed.
Qualifications
•Must be able to work in a cold room environment with exposure to temperatures between 32 and 38 degrees.
•Able to stoop, kneel, bend at the waist and reach daily.
•Must have general computer skills.
•Good teamwork and excellent communication skills.
•Punctual, reliable and available in case of emergencies.
•Experience in quality control.
•Ability to work within a flexible schedule.
•Experience in production environment.
•Must be able to read and write in English.
•Bilingual (English and Spanish) required
