Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented independent pretzel packager. The packager will be responsible for operating a weigh and fill machine and bag sealer, filling bags with various flavors and sizes of our retail products. This role is essential in maintaining the quality and efficiency of our packaging process, ensuring that all products meet company standards before reaching our customers. Food safety and accuracy are essential.
This is an independent contractor position where you will be paid a base pay per hour worked with an opportunity to make more per piece packaged as you become more efficient with the process after a trial period.
Responsibilities
Accurately package products according to specifications and quality standards.
Label packages clearly and correctly to ensure proper identification for food safety tracking.
Inspect finished products for defects or inconsistencies before packaging.
Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency.
Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals and deadlines.
Follow all safety protocols and guidelines while handling materials and equipment.
Report any issues or concerns regarding packaging processes or product quality to supervisors.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous experience in packaging, manufacturing, or a related field is a plus but not required.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards.
Good communication skills and the ability to work well independently.
Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift packages as needed.
Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Pay: $15.00 – $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 12 – 16 per week
