2nd Shift QA/QC Technician Jobs in Delray Beach, FL at Pero Family Farms Inc.
This position is responsible for continuously monitoring production and has direct liaison with production to ensure that the products manufactured conform to all applicable specifications.
JOB DESCRIPTION
• Ensure proper QA inspector coverage and schedules
• Ensure quality of the manufactured goods
• Inspect the goods as they are manufactured at the pre-determined schedules
• Examine the materials received for the order completion before line start up
• Perform timely visual inspections
• Sampling performed as required
• Submit the samples to the respective testing laboratory and review the test results before product release in the system
• Produce detailed production report with real time process updates as required
• Record pass/fail grade of the goods inspected
• Record number of goods inspected and sent for testing
• Perform fill weight checks at the determined time intervals
• Compare the product color, shape, texture, aesthetics or grade of the product to ensure consistency and to match the standard
• Use thermometers to check the products
• Prepare the required documents (fill weights, product issue, work order, lot code, Exp. Date, etc.)
• Perform the product and component accountability or reconciliation and report the product rejects and returns
• Submit completed batch records to QA Documentation for final review timely
• Timely and accurately update the company software system for the product produced
• Prepare the packer and shipper labels for production as required
• File the complete and reviewed Work Order documentation
• Record and stock the retain samples in the assigned and secured place.
• Perform Process validation of new OTC products and collect the samples as required by Quality Unit for testing
• Assist and support the Production staff, QC/QA lab technician, and other internal groups as required.
• Perform other Quality Control related duties as required.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Prior experience in a Quality Control position strongly desired
• Prior experience in a manufacturing environment a plus
• Understand basic Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).
• Read/Write/Understand English
• Must be Computer Literate and Proficient in MS Office.
• Must be able to immediately communicate discrepancies as they occur.
• Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, multi-functional and multi-cultural environment.
• Must be able to read and write simple reports & documents and have basic math skills.
• Needs to be able to work overtime with short notice
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk to and from
Production areas, laboratory, and main office. The employee frequently is required to stand for extended periods of time, as part of the responsibilities of the job. The employee is occasionally required to sit for desk work. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds to aid operations. The employee must have good vision and hearing for verbal communication. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts (filling and packaging machinery). The noise level in the work environment is moderate consistent with a manufacturing environment.
