Aerospace Quality Inspector (Landing Gear)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Inspector to join our aerospace manufacturing team on-site. In this role, you will perform critical visual and dimensional inspections on landing gear assemblies and sub-components to ensure the highest standards of safety and performance. Working under general supervision, you will verify documentation, audit queues, and identify product discrepancies using blueprints and specialized measurement tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform Inspections: Conduct visual and dimensional checks on landing gear assemblies, supplier components, and stock purges.
- Audit & Document: Run daily start-up audits of books and inspection queues, review tracking documents for complete sign-offs, and log product discrepancies.
- Interpret Design Data: Read and interpret blueprints, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) data.
- Cross-Functional Support: Collaborate with Quality Engineering to develop new inspection methods and support multiple product lines.
- Operational Flexibility: Manage shifting priorities to meet production schedules, performing quality system audits as required.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED with relevant experience.
- Aerospace assembly or manufacturing inspection experience.
- experience utilizing general measurement tools for inspection.
- Direct experience with Landing Gear assembly.
- Proficient in reading blueprints and interpreting technical data or quality procedures.
- Practical experience creating and completing AS9102 First Article Inspections (FAI).
- Working knowledge of ERP/PLM software, specifically SAP and CATIA.
Pay: $28.00 – $29.00 per hour
Experience:
- Landing Gear : 2 years (Preferred)
- AS9102: 2 years (Required)
- manufacturing inspection: 2 years (Required)
