SUMMARY OF POSITION
Reporting to the Quality Assurance Director, the QA Manager oversees QA personnel involved in incoming inspection, in-process and outgoing inspection, as well as the NOCSAE test laboratory at the North Ridgeville facility. The Quality Manager is also involved in QA activities at other plants, when applicable. The Quality Manager applies a broad and diversified knowledge of quality principles and concepts to ensure product quality.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties as assigned)
Manages the execution of all quality related activities at the North Ridgeville facility
Ensures Implementation of Riddell Quality Manual procedures and policies at the plant and supplier level.
Balances resource capacity through appropriate staffing level maintenance.
Leads plant during NOCSAE and NAERA audits and assists Quality Director in development of action plans if non-conformities are found.
Plans, develops and implements quality initiatives, metrics and goals when required.
Works with suppliers to ensure delivery of quality product to Riddell facilities.
Trains and qualifies Quality Technicians.
Assists with engineering projects when required.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Authorized to work in the U.S.
Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Science (Quality Assurance), Engineering or related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training and related experience required (CQE, CQM, SSGB or SSBB certificates).
Eight (8) years related experience in manufacturing, inspection and quality assurance with minimum four (4) years in a QA management role.
Extensive knowledge and understanding of quality management, processes and tools; SPC, DoE, FMEA, attribute and variable sample plans, ASTM Test Methods, etc.
Strong proficiency in MS Office applications, primarily Word, Excel and Access.

Strong technical aptitude and proficiency in reading blueprints, and test methods.
Strong intuitive, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Excellent oral, written and presentation skills.
Strong interpersonal communication skills with the ability to develop rapport/credibility with diverse groups.
Excellent time management, multi-tasking and organizational skills.
Strong teamwork skills with the ability to establish and maintain positive and effective working relationships both internally and externally.
Attention to detail and accuracy required.
