Quality Control (QC) Inspector

Position Summary
Marquis Industrial Services is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control (QC) Inspector to ensure all projects, fabrication activities, maintenance work, and field services meet company, client, and industry quality standards. The QC Inspector will perform inspections, verify compliance with specifications, document findings, and support continuous improvement initiatives to maintain the highest level of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct quality inspections of materials, equipment, and completed work.
- Verify compliance with project specifications, drawings, codes, and customer requirements.
- Perform visual inspections and dimensional checks.
- Review quality documentation, test reports, and inspection records.
- Identify non-conforming materials or workmanship and recommend corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate inspection reports and quality records.
- Work closely with project managers, supervisors, clients, and field personnel to resolve quality issues.
- Monitor adherence to company quality standards and safety procedures.
- Participate in audits, quality meetings, and continuous improvement activities.
- Ensure all inspections are completed according to established procedures and schedules.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; technical certification preferred.
- Experience in quality control, industrial services, construction, fabrication, manufacturing, or related fields.
- Knowledge of inspection techniques, quality standards, and industrial processes.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and quality documentation systems.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with ISO quality standards.
- Familiarity with non-destructive testing (NDT) methods.
- Experience working in industrial, refinery, petrochemical, or construction environments.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and climb for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
- Willingness to travel to project sites when required.
