The Role

The Application specialist will be reporting to Laboratory and diagnostics solutions Manager & will be responsible for product & application support of the class leading range of laboratory diagnostics instruments and reagents.

What you will do

The ideal candidate will have experience in product line customer support The Application Specialist functions as support for Direct Clients by providing operators training for Laboratory & diagnostics product lines, product or assay troubleshooting, advance training & workshops.

Engage clients in scientific activities & apply the escalation process for customer complaints. The position, based in Dubai.

Develop and implement action plans to help install and setup new equipment and add value to the products, improve customer knowledge, product acceptance and sales.

Discuss on the basic clinical significance of the assays and can understand QA/audit reports.

Plan application training and customer support activities and monitor the results of these plans.

Assist the sales team with the product presentation, and work on expanding the test menu for current customers.

Establish and maintain constructive communication with Laboratory & diagnostics product management team and Competitive Reference Accounts for the product line in all focused accounts.

Work closely with product management for pre and post sales customer support within product portfolio through constructive communication.

Ensure all customer complaints are addressed and solved as per the organization escalation process.

Create and implement adequate customer training with emphasis on performance and quality of results that leads to higher customer confidence in Laboratory & Diagnostics Products.

Keep records of training conducted and monitor training effectiveness Assist new and current customers with assay validation processes and support them with accreditation Collaborate across the functions to develop personal skills through knowledge sharing and learning from others.

What you must have

A degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or Biomedical Engineering.

At least 3 to 5 years’ experience in Laboratory and diagnostics field or market competitor.

Experience supporting or running IVD analytical systems is highly desirable

Familiarity with laboratory processes Ability to run different validation methods and Interpretation Knowledge of EP evaluator different modules & interpretation of results.

Strong Presentation Skills using MS PowerPoint and other Presentation tools

Excellent communications skills and experience with customer/user training utilizing adult learning Techniques Good writing and administrative skills, Including computer skills (PowerPoint/MS Word/Graphics, MS Excel spreadsheet, SharePoint).

Fluent in English, Arabic and any other language is an asset

Effective customer consultative skills which includes excellent scientific knowledge and analysis, exceptional customer engagement, and strong customer relationships.

Handle common problems independently, give customer feedback on progress of the problem or the solution to the problem.
