Job Purpose

To enhance and manage the Business Continuity Management (BCM) framework within Daman, ensuring organizational resilience. Formulate strategies, initiating risk assessments, fostering continuity awareness, and implementing business impact analysis. Oversee business continuity planning, motivate teams, monitor compliance with BCM standards, and improve resilience measures. Manage crisis response, establishing robust BCM documentation, and ensuring adherence to international standards such as ISO 22301 and NCEMA 7000.

Key Responsibilities

Core Responsibilities:

Formulate and implement Business Continuity Management strategies to enhance organizational resilience.

Initiate and oversee yearly Risk Assessments, Business Impact Analysis (BIA), and BCM workshops.

Develop and manage Business Continuity Plans (BCPs), ensuring timely updates based on risk assessments.

Foster business continuity awareness through training, simulations, and workshops for internal teams.

Monitor, review, and improve BCM policies to align with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.

Establish risk mitigation strategies and validate BCM action plans through periodic testing.

Oversee and manage disaster recovery tests, ensuring adherence to BCM methodologies.

Promote a culture of business continuity by engaging stakeholders and driving policy adherence.

Present Business Continuity Program Status reports to executive management and regulatory authorities.

Manage incident reporting, crisis communication, and response coordination within the organization.

Quality & Excellence Management:

Ensure compliance with ISO 22301 and NCEMA 7000 standards by maintaining up-to-date BCM documentation.

Implement and oversee quality assurance processes for Business Continuity Planning and execution.

Monitor and assess BCM effectiveness through regular audits, gap analysis, and corrective actions.

Promote operational excellence by optimizing BCM processes and enhancing response strategies.

Qualifications and Experience

Preferred Educational Qualifications and Professional Certifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business Continuity, Risk Management or related field.

Master’s degree in Business Continuity, Risk Management or related field.

Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) or equivalent is a plus.

Experience

Minimum 5-7 years of experience in business continuity management with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
