Job Description – SCADA & Power Electronics Quality Engineer
Position:
Assistant Manager / Deputy Manager – Quality (SCADA & Power Electronics)
Reporting To:
AVP – Quality
Working Days at HO :- 5 Days
Location:
Gurgaon HO – frequent visits to Solar & Wind Project Sites
Purpose:
Ensure quality assurance and readiness of SCADA, inverter, and power electronics systems prior to plant energization through inspection, testing, and validation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct pre-charging inspections of SCADA, inverters, PPC, meters, and communication systems.
- Validate end-to-end SCADA data flow, tagging, mapping, and real-time accuracy.
- Verify communication protocols and network health (Ethernet/fiber).
- Inspect inverters, PPC, and control panels including protections and interlocks.
- Witness functional tests, alarms, trips, and trial runs.
- Ensure completion of all pre-commissioning checklists and reports.
- Identify and close all NCs with RCA before charging.
- Review SCADA architecture, SLDs, and commissioning documents.
- Coordinate with EPC, vendors, and OEMs for quality compliance.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation Engineering with 5–7 years experience in Solar/Wind projects (SCADA, inverters, commissioning/quality).
Key Skills:
- SCADA systems & communication protocols (Modbus, IEC 61850).
- Power electronics & inverter systems.
- Pre-commissioning testing & validation.
- SLD, control logic, and network diagram interpretation.
- Strong quality, safety, and problem-solving orientation.

- Zero critical defects at the time of charging.
- 100% validated SCADA data accuracy.
