Job Purpose:
Assists the Head of QAQC in supervising and managing the Quality Assurance and Quality Control functions. Develop and execute strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure that processes and services meet quality and regulatory requirements. Ensure the effective implementation of the quality management system and delegate tasks to QA/QC executives while collaborating with other business units.
Job Responsibilities:
- Support the development and execution of the QAQC strategy aligned with organizational objectives.
- Response to interested third parties’ issues in timely manner.
- Assist in establishing quality standards and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Assist in managing a team of QAQC professionals and coordinating departmental activities to achieve goals and objectives.
- Participate in implementing quality control measures to identify and address deviations, non-conformities, and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality-related issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Support assurance program to assess compliance with quality standards and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Assist in providing leadership and guidance on quality-related matters to senior management and stakeholders.
- Contribute to fostering a culture of quality excellence, continuous improvement and customer satisfaction throughout the organization.
- Comply employee’s responsibilities in line with OSHA 1994 (Act 514) Part VII, section 24 “General Duties of Employees at work”, requirement.
- Comply to company rules as stated in the Employee Handbook including full compliance to Uzma 12 Orange Rules.
- Assist in developing and maintaining quality management systems, policies, and procedures.
- Support the establishment of key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure and monitor quality performance.
- Participate in conducting risk assessments and implementing risk mitigation strategies to ensure product and process quality.
- Support the timely and effective resolution of customer complaints and quality issues.
- Collaborate with QAQC team members, providing support, guidance, and mentorship as needed.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory requirements, and emerging technologies related to quality assurance and quality control.
- Assist in preparing reports and recommendations to senior management on quality performance and improvement initiatives.
- Contribute to driving cross-functional initiatives to enhance product quality, reliability, and customer satisfaction.
Job Requirements:
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field required. An Engineering degree with experience in upstream oil and gas is an advantage.
- Certification in Quality Management (e.g., ISO 9001:2015, API Q2) is highly desirable.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in QAQC management or related roles.
- Technical / Long Document Writing.
- Sufficient software skills in Microsoft Words, Excel and Power Point.
- Proficiency in both Bahasa Malaysia and English languages, written and oral.
- Broad knowledge of all applicable legislative requirements.
- Extensive knowledge in QHSE Management System standard requirements (ISO 45001:2018, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 9001:2015), and familiar with Oil & Gas standards (API Q2, BSEN, DNV, etc).
- Able to represent QHSE Division/ Quality Department at all company’s internal activities.
- Ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Working knowledge of company product technically and operationally.
- Experience in conducting risk assessments, RCA.
- Ability to develop and maintain relationships with regulatory bodies.
- Ability to travel/ outstation.
