We are seeking a highly qualified Assistant Professor in Information Technology to join our academic team. The ideal candidate will have strong teaching, Industry Experience and research experience, active involvement in student engagement, assessment, and development programs, and the ability to contribute to curriculum development and accreditation readiness in line with CAA (UAE) and international standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Teaching & Academic Duties
- Deliver high-quality lectures and practical sessions in Information Technology at undergraduate and postgraduate levels
- Design, develop, and continuously improve course curricula aligned with learning outcomes and accreditation requirements
- Prepare course outlines, lesson plans, assessments, and instructional materials
- Integrate innovative teaching methodologies and technology-enhanced learning tools
Student Engagement, Assessment & Development
- Actively promote student engagement through mentoring, academic advising, and interactive teaching practices
- Develop and implement student assessment strategies aligned with course and program learning outcomes
- Monitor and evaluate student performance and provide timely academic feedback
- Participate in the design and delivery of student development programs, including workshops, seminars, boot camps, and academic skill-building initiatives
- Support student participation in internships, projects, competitions, and industry-related activities
- Identify and support at-risk students through academic interventions and improvement plans
Accreditation & Quality Assurance
- Ensure compliance with CAA UAE accreditation standards and internal quality assurance policies
- Contribute to self-study reports, assessment matrices, and accreditation documentation
- Maintain accurate academic records and evidence for audits, inspections, and reviews
Research & Scholarly Activities
- Conduct research and publish in peer-reviewed journals, conferences, or recognized academic platforms
- Engage in applied research, industry collaboration, and funded research initiatives where applicable
- Supervise student research projects and capstone work
Faculty & Institutional Service
- Participate in academic committees, meetings, and institutional activities
- Support faculty development initiatives and mentor junior faculty
- Contribute to continuous improvement of academic programs and institutional effectiveness
Qualifications & Experience
- PhD in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a closely related discipline
- Minimum 5–8 years of teaching experience in higher education
- Demonstrated experience in student engagement, assessment development, and academic support programs
- Proven research and publication record
- Experience with CAA (UAE) accreditation or similar international quality frameworks preferred
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural academic environment
