Summary
We are seeking a Quality Assurance Manager to join our team This pivotal role will oversee quality assurance processes and ensure compliance with industry standards, contributing to our mission of providing safe and reliable products for infants and toddlers. As part of the Imports team , this role is responsible for ensuring timely and accurate vendor communications and product documentation. The focus will be on the safety and quality of all products designed and produced by Sassy Baby, Inc. This position will assist in the implementation of potential new systems and creating continuity across all brands in the Quality Assurance functions. This position reports directly to the Director of Quality Assurance
Primary Responsibilities:
Create testing and inspection criteria and standards for inspection for all products.
Keep abreast of all current and future testing standards and governmental regulations for both domestic and international product distribution.
Maintain documentation of all CPCs and DOCs.
Create ECN’s for items that have a quality or safety related change in production. Communicate ECN’s to suppliers and internal team.
Coordinate and execute factory audits annually. Keep records of factory audits accurate and up to date. Monitor audit expirations and be proactive in obtaining renewals.
Communicate with factories regarding product development process.
Create and submit TRF’s to test labs and track all product testing.
Ensure that testing on all brands is done on all re-run products annually.
Work with distribution associates to solve all quality issues identified in our warehouses.
Critically evaluate new product concepts for potential quality and safety issues.
Understand, implement and monitor customer compliance standards and ensure that we meet the customer’s standards as well as communicating those standards to the internal team.
Maintain product testing files, for US and international compliance for all branded product and Sassy produced private label toys.
Coordinate product inspections for all first shipments of new products as well as any products that could have potential safety issues.
Resolve customer quality issues with input from Director of QA.
Work closely with the Director of QA on implementing and monitoring customer sustainability guidelines.
Qualifications:
BA/BS is preferred with a minimum of 5 years of progressive quality work experience.
Excellent communication and organization skills are mandatory.
MS Office/MS Excel experience is required.
