Main Responsibilities:
To perform KYC due diligence of new relationships and existing clients (periodical revisions) for APAC entities as a Maker or Checker;
Ensure new and existing Asia Pacific clients satisfied the regulatory requirements (KYC, EMIR, FATCA )
Assess KYC requirements to be met depending on the type of client and the transactions
Interact with the client to collect the necessary documents
Collect documentation from public sources
Follow up with internal stakeholders (Compliance, vetting centers…) until the diligences are fully met
Report progress/status in the internal tool
Escalate issues to the management and propose solutions / alternatives
Draft waiver memo in case of deviations
Inform the business lines of the upcoming reviews to be performed and kick off, ahead of the KYC expiry date, the process
Coordinate with managers and client office identify priority accounts and ensure deliveries
Participate in the weekly calls with relevant business managers (when required) to understand the roadblocks / concerns during the KYC process
Be a role model and point-of-contact for the team members and guide them through the KYC Process
To take part in Projects and perform UAT testing assigned by the Manager
To perform ad-hoc screenings and other duties assigned by the Manager
Required Skills:
Bachelor’s Degree Holder in Banking & Finance or equivalent
Minimum 4 years of experience in KYC / CDD, preferably in Corporate Investment Banking with a good understanding of AML/CFT Framework and KYC documentation processes
Good understanding of the AML/KYC Regulatory Requirements in Asia (in particular HKMA, MAS, CBRC, PBOC, PRA, FSC and FSA)
Strong verbal communication and Strong reading capability (with regards to KYC Documentation) in both English and Chinese
Proficiency in Simplified and Traditional Chinese will be an advantage
Strong Interpersonal skills with ability to effectively interact with cross functional teams and capable of working on own initiative and prioritizing workload
