Summary
This position reports directly to the QA Manager and interacts with all levels of the organization. Works to improve overall effectiveness of the quality program and quality assurance initiatives such as continuous improvement and customer fulfillment. Assist operations and quality management to ensure process control and product conformity is satisfied in accordance with established procedures and policies.
Responsibilities: Perform inspections and tests on incoming, in process, and finished materials to ensure that quality standards and process controls are being met throughout the manufacturing process. Generate the appropriate documentation, records, and reports. Support quality, engineering, and manufacturing as needed.
Perform incoming, in process, and final visual and dimensional inspections. Utilize a variety of measurement equipment to verify tools and materials for use in prototype and production environments.
Review and verify certification documentation, inspection and testing results for compliance to drawings / specifications.
Generate various quality and inspection reports.
Effectively navigate QCBD quality management software.
Participate in internal as well as external quality audits.
Preferred Requirements
Previous experience as a Quality Technician in a contemporary manufacturing organization.
Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills to meet challenging demands in a fast-paced environment.
Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task.
Ability to work independently, as well as, in a team environment.
Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications.
Experience in the use of inspection equipment including calipers, micrometers, indicators, go/no-go gages, optical comparators.
Advanced level of expertise with Microsoft Office tools and PC.
