Title: Proposal Quality Specialist

Status: Contract

Reports to: Bid Lead

Location: Remote – Anywhere in the contiguous United States

Compensation: TBD

Job Summary

The Quality Specialist will be instrumental in ensuring the highest quality and strategic rigor in our proposal development process. This role involves facilitating critical quality reviews and strategy sessions, championing adherence to standard operating procedures, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of proposal best practices, excellent facilitation and communication skills, and a proactive approach to leveraging innovative technologies like AI to enhance proposal outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

Facilitate Quality Reviews: Plan, organize, and facilitate various quality review and strategy sessions, including but not limited to Red Team reviews, Black Hat reviews, Pre-mortem reviews, and Lessons Learned sessions.

Champion Client Standards: Promote and ensure compliance with standard operating procedures, and actively assist with the development, modification, and rollout of procedural updates.

Collaborate on Improvement: Work closely with the leadership team to identify and implement improvement initiatives, address sourcing needs related to quality assurance, and support the evangelization of client services.

Provide Reporting Metrics: Develop and deliver regular reporting metrics on the outcomes and effectiveness of quality review processes to the leadership team and other key stakeholders.

Implement Process Enhancements: Identify and implement process improvements within the quality review framework to increase overall team efficiency and proposal effectiveness.

Participate in Special Projects: Contribute to special projects aimed at growing and enhancing the overall service offering of the Client’s proposal operations, with a focus on quality assurance.

Conduct Win/Loss Reviews: Perform activities related to win/loss reviews as mandated by business needs, extracting key insights to inform future proposal strategies.

Apply AI for Improvement: Explore and apply Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools and methodologies to enhance proposal quality activities, creating new and effective ways of working and producing improved outcomes relevant to proposal management responsibilities.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) or equivalent professional experience.
APMP (Association of Proposal Management Professionals) certification is preferred.
Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in proposal management.
Demonstrated domain expertise in the Professional Services Industry (Support, Consulting, Sales, Operations).
Proven track record of effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present information clearly and persuasively.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) is essential.
Ability to travel as needed, both domestically and internationally, up to 10% of the time.
