Job Purpose

To define the quality base line of the products and how they should function; conducts quality analysis to verify the functionality of the products for end-users and to ensure they are developed to meet requirements planned in the stories

Key Result Responsibilities

  • Employs technical and analytical skills to conduct quality testing and checks on the products design in line with agreed objectives.
  • Verifies the products from quality perspective to ensure they are all designed, developed, and delivered in accordance with the agreed concepts/design and requirements recommended in the stories.
  • Understand system requirements, user stories and develop and execute a variety of testing scenarios to ensure the credibility of testing and analysis conducted and recommends solutions as applicable.
  • Create, update, and maintain Test Cases, Test Plans, schedules, and documentation
  • Concludes the testing results, track defects and releases them using the JIRA tool to be accessible by team members as needed and maintain testing reports.
  • Supports the development team in the sprint planning by providing them with results of the testing scenarios to consider in their final artwork or in alternative solutions.
  • Adopts the Agile and SCRUM concepts within work and ensures all the activities carried are done based on those concepts to ensure flexibility and adaptability to business needs.
  • Stays abreast with market trends and new technologies in the domain, researches and conducts comparative analysis with competitors to recommend best practices and new methodologies.
  • Collaborates with teams in significant technical discussions and open debates to source for best solutions and practices, improve workflow and continuously develop the design systems in place.
  • Performs any other additional duties as directed by the line manager.

Qualifications (Academic, Training, Languages)

Bachelor’s degree in Technical Engineering/Computer Science/Math or equivalent.

Certified SCRUM Master or Professional Certified Product Owner is a plus.

Quality Assurance certificates are advantage.

Solid technical background with understanding in software development.

Comfortable using collaboration tools such as Slack, JIRA.

Fluent in English Language.

Work Experience

  • 2+ Years’ experience as “Quality Analyst” or in a similar role in B2B/B2C enterprise environment that designs/develops Airlines products or IT Airline services such as Ground Handling/PSS/ Crew Management or in an IT Solutions company offering airline products
  • Has worked with technology platforms that are both internally and externally hosted.
  • Good Understanding of user interface (UI/YX) design
  • Good knowledge of database and hands-on experience in working with SQL queries
  • Familiarity with various defect management systems
  • Strong Cross-functional testing Hands–on experience with testing of various services, user interfaces, Desktop, Web/Mobile view and Mobile apps (iPhone / Android), API, and in Regression, Load and Performance Testing.
  • Experience with creating and maintaining large scale test data frameworks to support test automation
  • Familiarity in Agile (SCRUM, KANBAN framework) and other SDLC models and strong knowledge of software quality assurance best practices & methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and synthesis skills are a must including the ability to absorb and process large amounts of data into actionable information.
  • Exceptional skills and expertise in analysing data, identifying pitfalls, gaps and recommending solutions.
  • Track record of using qualitative and quantitative data to prioritize and drive decision-making
  • Good people and management skills to interact with staff, colleagues, cross-functional teams and third parties, able to employ technical expertise and interpersonal skills to execute new initiatives and achieve company’s objectives.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with demonstrable experience communicating and collaborating cross-functionally with all project roles, across multiple project teams.
  • Ability to independently work as a contributing member in a high-paced and focused environment and juggle multiple projects at a time with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Demonstrates the ability to contribute and successfully deliver against business strategy and set KPIs.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks with competing deadlines, with good understanding on how to optimize the use of test cases to provide optimal coverage.
