Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Regulatory Specialist is to create, implement, and manage the documentation supporting the food safety, quality, and regulatory compliance for the plant. In addition, incumbent will stay up to date with regulatory requirements and changes in the industry.
Duties
· Spearhead the formation of new products by creating product codes, GTINs, and label transmittals
· Be a leader in the labeling software to create, manage, and troubleshoot labels
· Ensure compliance with all labels by monitoring changes in government regulations, export regulations, and customer requests
· Create and update product specifications by working with sales to determine customer requirements
· Assign and maintain company forms by giving document numbers and revision information
· Update and maintain supplier approvals by confirming all proper documentation is in place before starting operations
· Communicate with customers on generic request for company or product information
· Support the development, maintenance, and enforcement of the Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) plan, pre-requisite programs, and Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP’s)
· Ensure accuracy and efficiency of all quality aspects of production
· Serve as a company representative with USDA, customers, suppliers, or vendors
· Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
· Knowledge of HACCP, sanitation, and hygienic design
· Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite of programs
· Well-developed communication skills, both oral and written
· High level of initiative for problem resolution and continuous improvement efforts
· Ability to work with team’s cross-functionally
· Ability to uphold regulatory, company, and customer standards
· Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community
· Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
· Ability to work well with others in fast paced, dynamic environment.
· Ability to be respectful, approachable and team oriented while building strong working relationships and a positive work environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.50 – $26.05 per hour
