A Day in the Life and the Impact You’ll Make:

DEKRA Certification Inc. is looking for a Quality Assurance Analyst to drive and refine QA processes for complex, multi-technology environments, including gNBs, CBRS, mobile devices, and automated lab systems, to ensure high performance and reliability across customer’s telecom platforms. You will focus on validating 5G RAN and Core Network functions, helping deliver stable and high-quality services.

What You’ll Do:

Design and execute detailed test plans for 5G RAN, mobile devices, and Core-to-UE call flows, aligning with 3GPP standards.
Test and validate gNB behavior, CBRS signal and network architecture, and RAN alarming responses.
Use advanced debugging tools to troubleshoot issues across RAN layers and mobile devices.
Evaluate and optimize TCP/IP performance, identifying bottlenecks and protocol-level issues.
Lead the documentation and execution of RAN Method of Procedures (MOPs) and process standardization.
Track and analyze 5G KPIs, generating reports and insights to support system improvements.
Build, maintain, and automate lab tests using Python scripting to reduce manual efforts and ensure repeatability.
Collaborate closely with developers, RAN engineers, and device teams to validate performance across different conditions and geographies.
Mentor junior QA engineers and champion best practices in quality assurance.

What You’ll Bring:

10+ years of telecom industry experience, with specific expertise in WCDMA, LTE, and 5G systems.
Deep hands-on knowledge of 5G RAN (gNB) testing and CBRS network architecture.
Experience analyzing 3GPP 5G Core to device call flows and debugging signaling and bearer setup.
Proven ability to work with TCP/IP stack analysis, traffic flow, and network performance optimization.
Familiarity with tools and processes for RAN alarming, KPI tracking, and troubleshooting mobile devices.
Strong scripting skills in Python, used for automating tests and managing lab workflows.
Excellent documentation and communication skills to drive collaboration and visibility.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, or related engineering field.

Physical Considerations:

Ability to handle and navigate through hardware and software of Devices such as Laptops, Cables, Mobile hotspots, etc.
Valid driver’s license and ability to navigate independently thru drive routes (using Maps), to collect test logs on the laptop.
Ability to navigate through walk route maps to collect logs on laptops and test phones.
Ability to execute projects during weekends and during shifts outside of business hours, per project needs

Travel Considerations:

Domestic and/or international travel estimated at 15% of the time for Field testing or project execution at client location

Compensation:

DEKRA North America’s compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $72,600 annually in our lowest geographic market up to $106,000 annually in our highest geographic market. Actual pay is based on several factors including market location and position-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
