Associate Representative, PM & Tech Transfer Jobs in Bloomington, IN at Novo Nordisk
As the Laboratory Technician I, you will perform basic sample and standard preparations, and simple analyses, and/or sample custodial duties. The position is based out of Cranston, RI. This position is full time and the hours are Monday to Friday, 2pm to 10pm. The average work week is 40-45 hours depending on business needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Follow laboratory standard operating procedures (SOPs) in the receipt and handling of sample, preparation of samples, solutions and/or reagents, and bottle preparation.
Perform simple analyses or instrument utilization to provide data that will not be directly reported to a client.
Perform sample custodial duties including sample inventory upon receipt, sample storage, and sample disposal.
After proper training, accountable for accurate documentation in accordance with ESS Laboratory policy and SOPs.
Assists chemists and other technicians as needed.
Participates in the management of hazardous waste by ensuring hazardous waste is properly stored and disposed of.
Responsible for proper disposal of samples, digestates, extracts and reagents into satellite containers.
Maintains a safe and healthy work environment
Meets all quality criteria as specified in QA manual.
Works and communicates with personnel of own and other departments
Continually aware of and meets holding time/commitments required by external and internal clients.
Perform other duties as needed or assigned, including, but not limited to, clerical duties to support the team
Bachelors degree in a science related field is preferred
Exceptional attentiveness to detail, with ability to learn and understand technical terms
Ability to stand for long periods of time and work nights and weekends when needed
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
