Purpose:

The primary purpose of the role is to work as part of a team generating data that elucidates the biologic properties and functional activity of innate immune cell engaging, multiprotein complexes. This role will therefore require the development of skills in a range of cell biology and complex immunological techniques to explore the biology and immune-modulatory properties of such multiprotein innate engagerswith regards to target cellsbut also in the widerimmunological context involving members of the immune system in general.

Data generated from this work will contribute to platform discovery and early development of immune-oncology and immune-modulating therapeutics to ultimately support development of such therapies for use in Phase 1 clinical trials.

The role is laboratory based.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate on experimental planningwith scientists, executeand aid in the analysisof experiments.

Perform functional assessment of product candidates, including cell-based and immunological assays.

Maintain good communication with respective supervisor/project lead.

Participate in lab organisation, protocol and proceduredrafting and participating in activities to maintain the lab working environment.

Conduct data analysis, generate rigorous scientific documentation including ELNs and reports and concise visualand oral presentations to communicate in research and project meetings.

Education/Experience:

Educated to at leastBSc level in a relevantscientific area with at least 1 year’slaboratory experience, preferably in industry.

Practical experience of laboratory work, cell cultureand cell-based functional assays.

Experience in primary humancell culture, would be advantageous.

Requirements:

Ability to work co-operatively with others, as part of a team, engaging constructively with colleagues at all levels to deliver objectives, using effective scientific communication skills

Enjoys working in a structured environment and is willingto comply with GDT Standard Operating Procedures and Policies

Good IT skills including confidence with use of scientific software.

Willing and able to work flexiblehours (evening and weekends when required) to fit with tissue/cell availability and separate locations to fit with team requirements.
