You support our team as
QUALITY CONTROL INSPECTOR II- 2ND SHIFT
Responsibilities
Measure and record product quality using, visual, mechanical and optical gauging instruments.
Inspect incoming raw material to insure that all quality requirements have been met per acceptance activities and material specifications.
Ensure conformance to certifications for all materials and components received.
Identify and segregate non-conforming material for material review board (MRB) disposition
Generate NCMR’s and assign owners.
Participate in Gauge R&R’s
Perform applicable materials testing per acceptance activities and/or specification.
Strong knowledge of interpreting drawings, customer specification, test methods, and inspection criteria.
Maintain complete, legible, and accurate records.
Independently handle problems that arise within area of responsibility.
Knowledge of cGMP’s.
Knowledge of scheduling methods and ability to change priorities when directed by Supervisor/Manager.
Interact effectively with other employees within the department and the company.
Release product to next location upon completion within SAP system.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Must have a minimum of 3-5 or more years’ experience in Quality Control preferably in silicone related industry.
Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s).
Knowledge of Sampling Inspection.
Knowledge of ERP system.
Entry-level computer knowledge (Excel, Word, OneNote).
Preferred knowledge in principles of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
Ability to use all small inspection tools (i.e. calipers, micrometers, rulers).
Ability to use all materials testing equipment (i.e. Tensile Tester, Rheometer).
Ability to use all Vision Measuring Systems (i.e. Nikon Nexiv, Mitutoyo Quickscope, OGP Smartscope, Keyence, Leica).
Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing, with coworkers, supervisors, and other employees.
Ability to follow written specifications and procedures.
Ability to accurately perform detailed production inspection work.
Ability to accurately complete documentation of work performed.
Ability to adhere to standards for labeling and segregation of materials.
Involves sitting, standing and/or walking, with frequent ability to exert up to 10 pounds of force to move objects and occasionally exert up to 30 pounds of force to move objects.
