Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Hong Kong for Audit Senior Associates and Assistant Managers. Responsibilities include planning and executing audit engagements for a diverse portfolio of clients, performing risk assessments, testing internal controls, and evaluating the reasonableness of accounting estimates and disclosures. The role involves supervising junior team members, reviewing their work, and providing coaching and feedback to support their development. Team members will communicate audit findings and recommendations to clients, prepare audit reports and working papers in compliance with professional standards, and coordinate with other service lines where needed. The position also includes managing engagement timelines and budgets, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of accounting and auditing standards, and contributing to process improvement and quality initiatives.
Qualifications
- Professional audit and accounting skills, including solid knowledge of HKFRS/IFRS, Hong Kong Companies Ordinance, and auditing standards.
- Experience in planning, executing, and completing audit engagements, including risk assessment, control testing, and substantive procedures.
- Team leadership capabilities, such as supervising junior staff, reviewing working papers, and providing on-the-job coaching and feedback.
- Client service and communication skills, including the ability to present findings clearly, manage client expectations, and build professional relationships.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; HKICPA/ACCA or equivalent qualification (or near completion) is preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel and Word); experience with audit or accounting software is an advantage.
- Ability to work on-site in Hong Kong, handle multiple engagements, and collaborate effectively in a diverse, professional team environment.
- Fluency in written and spoken English; proficiency in Cantonese and/or Mandarin is an advantage.
