Job Summary
Performs incoming, in-process, final inspection, and Return to Service of aircraft parts and components in an FAA part 145 repair station.
Records inspection results using appropriate paperwork.
Performs receiving inspections on materials and products forconformance to specifications
Examines materials or products for defects using FAA approved andacceptable data.
Compares product with part list or sample model to ensurecompletion of assembly.
Verifies specified dimensions of product or material.
Recommends defective parts for rejection and marks the type ofdefect on part, container of parts, or inspection tag. Records findingson appropriate paperwork.
Inspects products for structural defects such as leaks and internalcracks.
General Accountabilities
Conducts routine and non-routine analyses of in-process repairprocesses.
Interprets test results and compares them to established specifications
and control limits.
Performs visual inspections of finished products.
Compiles test data and performs appropriate analyses.
Completes documentation needed to support testing procedures.
Calibrates, validates, or maintains equipment.
Supplies quality control data necessary for regulatory submissions.
Investigates or reports questionable test results.
Performs validations in accordance with applicable policies or guidelines.
Ensures that cleanliness and safety standards are maintained.
Identifies quality problems and recommends solutions.
Monitors testing procedures to ensure that all tests are performedaccording to established item specifications, standard test methods, or protocols.
Identifies and troubleshoots equipment problems.
Writes technical reports or documentation.

Job Qualifications
Education: High School diploma or equivalent
Knowledge of FAA/EASA part 145 regulatory requirements
Detailed knowledge of aviation inspection practices
Required Experience:
5 years in an Aviation MRO environment as a technician or inspector
FAA Airframe and powerplant (A&P) certificate
