Automation QA Engineer – Test Complete & API Testing
Location: Toronto, ON

Role Description
- Validate RESTful and event-driven APIs to ensure functional accuracy, performance, and reliability.
- Design and execute API test cases covering positive, negative, and edge-case scenarios.
- Perform automated API testing using tools and frameworks such as Postman, Karate, and REST Assured.
- Validate API security, authentication, and authorization using OAuth2 and JWT.
- Collaborate with API Developers, Solution Architects, and Dev Ops teams across delivery pods.
- Support CI/CD integrated testing, defect triage, and release sign-off.
- Ensure compliance with enterprise quality, security, and regulatory standards.
Essential Skills
- 4–7 years of experience in API or integration testing within BFSI or regulated environments.
- Strong understanding of REST APIs, JSON, HTTP protocols, and integration patterns.
- Experience with API test automation and defect management tools.
- Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure/AWS) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and collaboration skills.
