Job Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled and hands-on Automation Lead with 8+ years of experience in software quality engineering and test automation. The ideal candidate should be a strong individual contributor with extensive experience in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable automation frameworks. You will play a key role in ensuring software quality through robust automated testing across web applications, APIs, and backend systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks for web and API testing.
- Create and execute automated test scripts to support functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, and product teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Analyze test results, identify defects, and work with development teams to drive issue resolution.
- Integrate automation suites into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing.
- Perform API and backend validation, including database verification.
- Contribute to test strategy, test planning, and automation best practices.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong hands-on experience with Selenium using Java.
- Experience with Playwright automation framework.
- Proven experience in developing and maintaining scalable test automation frameworks.
- Programming – Deep understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts.
- Hands-on proficiency in at least one modern programming language: Java, Python, TypeScript, C#
- Automation Tools– Experience with industry-standard automation tools and libraries such as: Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Appium
- API Testing – Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
- Hands-on experience with API testing tools such as: Postman, REST Assured
- Version Control – Proficiency in Git/GitHub for source code management, branching, and collaboration.
- Database Testing – Strong SQL skills with the ability to: Write complex queries, validate backend data and verify database integrity and business rules
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Exposure to CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
