Role: Automation Tester
Work Arrangement: Work from Home
Location: Philippines – Any CS Branch (Makati/Ortigas/Pampanga/Tarlac/Cebu)
Schedule: Morning shift
Job description:
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for web applications.
- Implement end-to-end testing using tools like Playwright, ensuring robust coverage for functional, regression, and performance testing.
- Collaborate with development teams to integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
- Test cloud-based applications deployed on Azure App Services and Function Apps.
- Analyse and document test results, and work with developers to resolve issues efficiently.
- Identify and implement improvements to the automation testing process.
- Ensure test environments are up-to-date and reflective of production systems.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest tools, trends, and best practices in test automation.
Qualifications and requirements:
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience with functional programming principles in test automation.
- Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform for setting up test environments.
- Experience working in FinTech or on Open Banking solutions.
- Knowledge of API testing tools like Postman or Swagger.
- Understanding of security testing best practices.
Key Requirements:
- Strict Technical Requirements:
- Automation testing will be fully owned by the QA resource
- Playwright is the required tool as it is integrated well with their CI/CD pipeline
- Proficiency in Selenium is acceptable, provided there is strong transferability to Playwright
Industry Background:
- Experience in the banking and financial services industry is helpful but not required
Non-negotiable skills and requirements:
- Proven experience in automated testing with tools like Playwright or Selenium.
- Strong understanding of test automation frameworks and design principles.
- Experience integrating automated tests into Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with testing cloud-based applications, including Azure App Services and Function Apps.
- Solid understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and best practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent English communication skills (verbal and written).
- Minimum 4 years of experience in software testing with a focus on automation.
