Position Overview
This Laboratory Technician position offers an exciting opportunity for an individual to increase their experience with a high potential of moving up the ladder in a growing organization. This position will help with all aspects of the lab with a strong focus on Sample Intake and is an extremely valuable member of our team.
Educations & Experience
· Associate degree in science (minimum)
· Cannabis testing experience (preferred)
· ISO-17025 experience (preferred)
· Laboratory experience (preferred)
Responsibilities
· Support sample receiving
· Support analytical analysis and sample extraction techniques as per laboratory SOPs
· Support microbiology department
· Assist to optimize workflow and processes
· Help maintain laboratory equipment and consumable inventory
· Support equipment maintenance
· Follow all written SOPs
· Assist to optimize workflow and processes
· Perform tasks in a controlled efficient manner to improve company’s turnaround time
· Make recommendations for SOP updates or improved practices to the Lab Manager
· May require work to be done afterhours
· Follow all ISO accredited standards and support renewal efforts
· Follow all safety procedures
· Ensures compliance with established Turnaround Times (TAT), and ensures COAs include all accurate, pertinent, and required information for interpretation
· Maintains strict confidentiality of procedures, client information, and all business operations
· Follow established procedures for laboratory quality control and report discrepancies to the Laboratory Director to guarantee the lab maintains utmost quality
· Complies with established laboratory safety policies and procedures when using chemicals
· Reads and follows all organizational and departmental policies and procedures to remain in good standing with the organization and leads by example
· Attends all required safety training programs to stay abreast of latest safety precautions and procedures
· Demonstrate ability to multi-task and prioritize projects efficiently
· Maintain a safe, clean, well-organized, and efficient laboratory work environment.

Requirements
· Must be at least 21 years of age
· Must be able to pass a background check as required by 105 CRM 725.000 and must not have been convicted of an excluded felony offense as defined in 105 CRM 725.030
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $37,000.00 – $45,000.00 per year
