Job Summary
Are you detail-oriented with a passion for cars? Drive Now Auto, and Cactus Jack’s Warranty Center, are seeking several Automotive Quality Control (QC) Drivers to join our team. Your primary objective will be to test-drive and inspect our vehicles, verifying they meet our strict quality standards and are 100% ready for sale before being released to inventory.
While basic automotive knowledge is required to help you spot potential issues, we provide training on our specific systems, standards, and scanning tools!
What You’ll Do
- Road Testing & Safety: Perform final road tests to verify vehicle safety, drivability, and the proper operation of major vehicle systems.
- Mechanical & Cosmetic Inspection: Conduct final vehicle inspections to ensure all repairs match the approved repair plan (including body, paint, upholstery, windshield, and dent repairs).
- Diagnostic Scanning: Perform final vehicle scans, documenting any active diagnostic trouble codes or incomplete readiness monitors.
- Documentation & Routing: Accurately record which vehicles pass or fail. Approve frontline-ready vehicles for inventory, or route failing vehicles back to the mechanical or inspection teams.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate QC failures clearly to management and production personnel to coordinate quick fixes.
What We Are Looking For
- Basic Automotive Knowledge: You should understand how vehicles operate and be able to identify basic mechanical or cosmetic failures.
- Valid Driver’s License: A clean driving record is required to perform vehicle road tests.
- Attention to Detail: An eagle eye for catching missed repairs, minor cosmetic defects, or unusual vehicle noises.
- Good Communication: Ability to document findings clearly and discuss vehicle issues with mechanics and managers.
- Coachability: A willingness to learn our production standards and scanning protocols during your training period.
Pay: $18.00 – $20.00 per hour
