We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Quality to lead and enhance our Quality Assurance and Compliance programs. This individual will be responsible for ensuring adherence to FAA and other regulatory standards while driving continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee and manage the Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with FAA and other applicable regulatory and industry standards.
Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and documentation to ensure compliance with customer, regulatory, and internal requirements.
Lead quality audits (internal, supplier, and external) and manage responses to findings, including corrective actions and process improvements.
Serve as the company’s primary liaison with regulatory agencies, customers, and certification bodies for all quality-related matters.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
Establish and monitor key quality metrics, analyzing trends and implementing proactive measures to mitigate risks.
Collaborate with engineering, production, and leadership teams to ensure quality is embedded in all aspects of operations.
Lead and mentor the Quality Assurance team, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and compliance.
Ensure effective calibration and maintenance of measurement and test equipment.
Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum of 5 years of experience in Quality Assurance, with at least 2 years in a leadership role within the aerospace/aviation MRO industry.
Extensive knowledge of FAA Part 145 Repair Station regulations and related quality management systems.
FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license or DER/DAR experience is a plus.
Strong experience in root cause analysis, corrective/preventive actions, and process improvement methodologies.
Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage teams and drive a culture of quality and compliance.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
Ability to work collaboratively across departments to ensure seamless quality integration in operations.
