Quality Control Technician Level 1

Primary responsibilities include but not limited to:

Utilize GO-NOGO gauges and calipers to perform QA/QC inspections of mechanical assemblies.
Utilize schematics, blueprints or assembly documentation and a multimeter to perform incoming continuity checks on various cable assemblies.
Perform IPC Class III inspections on PCBs and PCBAs at incoming inspection or during the manufacturing process.
Disassemble/assemble mechanical assemblies utilizing approved hand tools such as screwdrivers and torque drivers.
Perform electrical continuity checks on work-in-progress or completed work as required by product documentation.
Assist Production with Incoming RMA and outgoing RMA and New Production final, functional, and ringout testing.
Be trained in and utilize all job-related software and computer programs such as email, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and Smartsheet.
Cross train in manufacturing processes such as functional and ring out testing, thermal testing, and Highly Accelerated Stress Screening (HASS) testing.
Identify opportunities for improvement within the manufacturing or testing areas of the company.
Maintain a clean and organized workstation.

Preferred Skills or Certifications:

1-2 years of experience in a Quality Assurance role
1-2 years of PCBA sub-assembly inspection experience
IPC Certified or related IPC Class III inspection experience
Proficient in the use of various inspection tools such as calipers and various gauges for dimensional measurements on mechanical or electrical assemblies
Experienced in the handling and application of various adhesives and epoxies on PCBs and PCBAs
Ability to read, interpret and work from assembly prints, wiring diagrams and schematics
Effective and consistent communication
