Community Options, Inc. is a national non-profit agency providing services to individuals with disabilities in 12 states.

We are now hiring a Full-Time Quality Assurance Corporate Compliance Specialist in Princeton, NJ. The Quality Assurance Corporate Compliance Specialist supports the organization in maintaining compliance in all areas of operations. This person focuses on promoting a culture of compliance, preventing and detecting fraud, waste, and abuse, and educating staff on corporate compliance policies, plans, and code of ethics.

Responsibilities
Implement the corporate compliance plan and standards for the agency consistent with applicable laws and regulations
Conduct compliance/documentation training for staff
Provide technical support to program staff
Help to develop and update training materials for compliance/documentation training
Conduct targeted reviews, internal audits, and compliance investigations
Support the development of audit tools to be used in various audits/reviews
Conduct site visits to ensure compliance with all regulatory mandates
Conduct follow-up audits to confirm corrective actions have been implemented and are effective
Conduct investigations regarding regulatory and compliance issues
Draft investigation reports summarizing findings and recommending corrective actions
Prepare written reports summarizing review findings, reporting such findings to management
Review and audit against the agency’s policies/procedures and general practices ensuring that they meet legal, ethical, and compliance standards
Create recommendations for changes to existing policy to ensure that they meet all compliance standards
Maintain the recording hub of audits, including report findings and corrective action plans as well as the maintenance of annual audit schedules
Develop, review, analyze, and improve internal controls and monitoring systems for various programs/departments
Identify compliance risk areas and assist with the development and implementation of policies and corrective action plans where indicated
Employee must cooperate with the license and department staff in any inspection, inquiry, or investigation

Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree required; concentration in health care administration, planning, or policy preferred
Experience with compliance, quality assurance, and other types of regulatory work
Familiarity with state oversight agencies of disability/Medicaid providers
Interpretation of regulation, policy development, and implementation experience
Satisfactory background check, including driving record
Employment is contingent upon successful completion of checks of criminal background, central registry, child abuse registry, and drug testing
