This role will also include being part of our Shipping and Receiving team. No prior experience with shipping and receiving? No problem! We are willing to train the right candidate. Key Responsibilities:
Quality Inspection:
Inspect products to ensure compliance with order specifications and our quality control system.
Communicate any quality concerns with production for immediate resolution.
Test products and materials according to department procedures.
Stamp mark of approval or rejection on products after examination.
Inspect parts for wear, warping, or other defects.
Verify dimensions of parts against blueprint specifications.
Package quality products and stage them for shipping.
Review and log scrap to identify process improvement opportunities.
Gather and quarantine supplier-provided quality concern parts and document defects.
Investigate and adjust customer complaints regarding quality.
Quality Control:
Ensure manufacturing processes comply with company standards and specifications.
Direct objectives to maximize profitability.
Monitor your own performance, self-audit for accuracy, and produce high-level output.
Safety:
Be personally accountable for preventing injury and illness to yourself and protecting company assets.
Report any injuries or suspected injuries immediately to your direct supervisor.
Be familiar with all chemicals used in your assigned area and understand their potential health risks.
Know the location, use, and purpose of all safety equipment in your work area.
Keep emergency equipment, fire doors, and emergency exit routes unobstructed and in good condition.
Adhere to personal protection guidelines set forth by the company.
Maintain a sense of orderliness, keeping materials, supplies, and equipment well organized and in good condition.
Ensure the work area is clean and free from safety hazards.
Assist with janitorial duties daily – sweep, clean, and trash removal.
