C++/ QA Tester Jobs in San Jose, CA at Ramsoft Systems, Inc.
Objective:
Facilitate the internal farm-based Quality Assurance (QA) program, focusing on internal and external analytics, adherence to sampling schedules, and generation of reports for cannabinoid potency testing.
This is a unique and dynamic opportunity to lead the development of a comprehensive QA program for our cultivation operations. The role requires analytical chemistry expertise while balancing hands-on responsibilities and management duties. You will work closely with the Cultivation and Manufacturing teams to ensure quality, consistency, and compliance in all aspects of cannabis production. Your contributions will directly impact farm operations, shaping the future of QA processes and analytics for our growing cannabis program.

Responsibilities:
Sampling & Compliance:
· Ensure all cannabis plants and harvested product are appropriately sampled for cannabinoid potency, moisture, terpenes, and contaminants to meet compliance and quality specifications.
· Develop and implement sampling methodologies tailored for a large-scale outdoor/indoor cannabis farm.
· Work closely with the Cultivation and Manufacturing teams to optimize sampling plans that ensure representative results across different plant batches and growing conditions.
Laboratory Operations & Data Management:
· Operate and maintain analytical lab equipment, including HPLC, and moisture analyzers, with a focus on cannabinoid potency analysis.
· Maintain precise data collection for all test results and input findings into COA sheets for farming operations.
· Generate detailed reports on potency trends, plant health analytics, and compliance results, helping guide cultivation strategies.
· Coordinate instrument preventative maintenance and calibration schedules to ensure accurate testing results.
Process Improvement & QA Management:
· Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) for QA sampling, testing, and compliance monitoring across farm cultivation operations.
· Track and report Quality KPIs, providing insights to the Cultivation and Executive teams for data-driven decision-making.
· Identify trends or inconsistencies in analytical results.
· Work with Leadership teams on continuous improvement projects and efficiency initiatives to enhance yield quality and regulatory compliance.
· Oversee the storage, handling, and disposal of hazardous waste from lab materials in compliance with safety and environmental standards.
Collaboration & Compliance:
· Maintain communication with farm leadership utilizing EOS meetings, huddles, and visual workplace tools.
· Ensure all QA and analytics processes comply with internal policies and external state/federal cannabis regulations.
· Work with regulatory bodies and third-party testing labs to ensure smooth COA submissions and compliance testing.
Qualifications:
· 5+ years of experience in an analytical lab (cannabis, agriculture, or pharmaceutical industries preferred).
· 2+ years of Quality Assurance or quality management experience in a regulated environment.
· Hands-on experience with HPLC for cannabinoid potency testing and cannabis analytics.
· Strong wet lab skills for farm-based sampling and potency testing methodologies.
· Understanding of cultivation processes, cannabis plant chemistry, and environmental factors affecting cannabinoid potency.
· Ability to communicate effectively with farm teams, vendors, and leadership.
· Advanced computer skills – Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
· Familiarity with OSHA regulations, EHS programs, and hazardous material management.
· Degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Agricultural Science, or equivalent professional experience.
