Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Cabin Cleaning Inspector to ensure all vacation rental cabins meet company cleanliness, presentation, and quality standards before guest arrival. This role is responsible for conducting thorough inspections of cleaned cabins, identifying deficiencies, coordinating with housekeeping teams to address issues, and helping deliver an exceptional guest experience. A company vehicle is provided for work-related travel between properties.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed inspections of vacation rental cabins after housekeeping services are completed.
- Verify that cabins meet company cleanliness, safety, and presentation standards.
- Inspect bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, living areas, outdoor spaces, hot tubs, and guest amenities.
- Identify and document cleaning deficiencies, maintenance concerns, damaged items, and inventory shortages.
- Communicate inspection findings to housekeeping staff and ensure corrective actions are completed promptly.
- Perform quality-control checks using company inspection checklists and reporting systems.
- Ensure guest amenities, linens, toiletries, and supplies are fully stocked.
- Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, and property concerns to the appropriate department.
- Maintain accurate inspection records and photographs as needed.
- Drive between cabin locations using a company-provided vehicle.
- Assist with training and coaching housekeeping staff on quality standards when needed.
- Help ensure cabins are guest-ready and meet company expectations before check-in.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in housekeeping, hotel operations, vacation rentals, quality control, or property inspections preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify cleanliness and maintenance issues.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Comfortable using mobile devices, apps, and inspection software.
- Dependable, professional, and customer-service oriented.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record required.
- Ability to safely operate a company-provided vehicle.
- Must be able to pass any applicable background and motor vehicle record checks.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, bend, kneel, and lift up to 30 pounds.
- Ability to inspect properties thoroughly, including under furniture, outdoor areas, and elevated spaces when necessary.
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
