DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Ability to use manual micrometers, indicators, and shadowgraphs for manufactured tools ensuring all tools are within spec.
Ability to read blue prints
Assist with gage calibration and maintenance.
Assembly of manufactured tools.
Reporting of nonconformities to Management
Strong organizational skills
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Also adhere to all plant safety rules and regulations and Division policies and procedures, maintain cleanliness of work area, and represent Division and Corporation to customers, suppliers and co-workers in a professional manner.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or GED equivalent. One to two years automotive manufacturing experience preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES
Following established methods and procedures, must be able to perform, but not limited to, the following: good oral and written communication skills; good organization skills; use of job related micrometers, indicators, shadowgraphs, and mechanical ability.
INTERPERSONAL, TEAM SKILLS
Must demonstrate attitude, ability and willingness to contribute to a respectful team environment.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, bend, twist, squat/stoop, carry and lift parts up to 50 lbs. and grasp parts with the hand.The employee is required to accept verbal and written instruction.
