Quality and Reliability LABORATORY Inspector
Illuminate USA, a new standalone joint venture established by two global leaders in renewable energy, is building one of the largest solar panel manufacturing factories in the Western Hemisphere. This 1.1 million-square-foot factory is currently in the advanced stages of preparation in the Columbus, Ohio area.

Job Summary:
We are currently looking for a Laboratory Inspector for our new factory in the Columbus, Ohio area.
This role is pivotal in implementing both company and regulatory quality standards for product manufacturing. The ideal candidate will have experience with industry and governmental quality regulations, be able to audit and review quality data in line with our protocols, and will take responsibility in ensuring that results are documented appropriately.
This position reports directly to a Laboratory manager.
The Lab Inspector will be integral to our mission of establishing a top-tier production facility in central Ohio.
Responsibilities:
Perform daily testing operations within the laboratory.
Learn ISO (17025) and IEC (61215 and 61730) standards.
Adapt, develop, and implement written standards and protocols for testing which will enable ISO 17025 accreditation of the Illuminate USA laboratory.
Help with laboratory visits and other customer service duties relating to the laboratory.
Assist with regular maintenance activities for assigned laboratory equipment.
Help with the update and maintenance of laboratory and testing system documents, ensuring compliance with ISO standards and other relevant guidelines.
Fulfill any additional responsibilities or tasks as delegated by superiors.
Qualifications:
Must have experience with either testing in a quality assurance role or with data acquisition (using instrumentation) in a laboratory role.
Similar experience is acceptable.
Must be keen to learn, able to adapt to changing responsibilities/tasks, and eager to take ownership of responsibilities.
Must have knowledge of production safety and lean production techniques or experience working under strict standards of safety.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office.
Familiarity with ISO 9001 and 17025 standards is advantageous.
2+ years of quality assurance work with direct experience in testing and familiarity with standards compliance is preferred.
