Castings Supplier Quality Engineer Jobs in Euclid, OH at Eaton
The Quality Supervisor will coordinate on-site quality inspections and make decisions on routine quality matters. Furthermore, the Quality Supervisor will focus on building, developing, and leading quality personnel.
Responsibilities
Supervise and mentor the Quality team, ensuring adherence to company policies, standards, and procedures.
Lead daily quality operations, including inspections, audits, and testing processes.
Provide guidance and support for problem-solving and corrective actions.
Implement and maintain quality control procedures and standards in alignment with organizational goals.
Oversee inspection and testing activities to ensure compliance with product specifications and industry standards.
Review and approve quality documentation, including inspection records, reports, and certificates.
Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance product quality and efficiency.
Collaborate with production and engineering teams to address quality issues and implement corrective/preventive actions.
Participate in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma initiatives to drive continuous improvement.
Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory, customer, and internal quality requirements.
Prepare for and participate in internal and external audits (e.g., ISO certifications).
Maintain and improve the plant’s quality management system.
Conduct training sessions for staff on quality control standards and best practices.
Foster a culture of quality awareness throughout the organization.
Requirements
Minimum 10 years in quality control within a manufacturing environment, with at least 3-5 years in a supervisory or decision-making role.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field preferred. Equivalent experience will be considered.
Preferred certifications include Six Sigma or ISO 9001 Lead Auditor.
Proficiency in quality management systems (QMS) and statistical process control (SPC).
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, inspection tools, and techniques.
Experience with root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective action implementation.
Strong leadership and team-building abilities.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication, both written and verbal.
Proficiency in using quality software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering results.
