About The Job
In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring that quality standards are consistently met across Opella Healthcare’s distributor network. You will help establish effective processes, tools, and communication channels that enable seamless collaboration internally and with external partners.
Your mission is to ensure that all quality-related activities (GDP/GMP) carried out by distributors fully comply with international and local regulations—ultimately safeguarding patients, customers, and business performance.
You will act as a central quality expert, connecting distributors, internal teams, and manufacturing units.
Main Responsibilities
Distributor Quality Oversight
- Partner with business teams to ensure strong quality governance across distributor markets
- Maintain the right level of quality control and compliance in assigned countries
Operational Quality Management
You will manage a broad range of quality topics impacting distributor markets, including:
- Product complaints
- Quality events (deviations, alerts, risks)
- Product recalls
- Temperature excursions
Cross-functional Coordination
- Collaborate with internal teams and distributors on activities such as:
- Repackaging/redressing operations
- Certification processes with Qualified Persons
- Updating and maintaining Quality Agreements
- Support local Health Authority quality control testing (documentation, standards, etc.)
Product Quality Review (PQR) Contribution
- Collect and analyze market-specific quality data
- Provide insights and conclusions to the Marketing Authorization Holder (MAH)
- Ensure distributors have access to relevant PQR information when required
Change Management
- Manage changes affecting distributor operations
- Track and support implementation of changes initiated by distributors
Distributor Relationship & Development
- Lead qualification and ongoing quality assessment of distributors
- Organize regular operational meetings and annual quality reviews
- Deliver training on Opella processes and ways of working
- Maintain and update Quality Agreements with all relevant stakeholders
- Monitor audit outcomes, ensure action plans are implemented, and follow through to closure
- Evaluate distributor quality performance annually
Regulatory & Inspection Support
- Support distributors during inspections by local Health Authorities (GDP/GMP)
- Assist with qualification of manufacturing sites where distributors act as MAH
Project Involvement
- Contribute to global quality projects impacting distributor activities
About You
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Quality within the pharmaceutical sector (distribution, pharmaceutical warehouse, wholesale trade, manufacturing, or related activities).
- Hands-on experience in quality systems management (preferably within distribution)
- Strong understanding of GDP/GMP requirements
- Exposure to Regulatory Affairs, Medical, or Pharmacovigilance is a plus
- Auditor qualification/experience (GDP/GMP) is an advantage
- Degree in life sciences, healthcare, or a related field
- Fluent English (written and spoken)
