As a growing international business, we are looking for an experienced Chief Operating Officer (COO) to work directly alongside the CEO, helping build systems, lead teams, and scale the company.

Role Description

This is a full-time remote (work from home) position.

The Chief Operating Officer (COO) is responsible for overseeing the company’s day-to-day operations and ensuring every department operates efficiently while supporting Gtliab®’s strategic objectives.

Working directly with the CEO, you will lead managers and remote staff, oversee business operations, improve processes, monitor KPIs, implement operational strategies, and ensure projects are delivered to a high standard.

This is a hands-on leadership position requiring excellent organisational, communication, and decision-making skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work directly with the CEO to execute the company’s strategic vision.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the business.
  • Lead, coach, and manage managers and remote employees.
  • Recruit, onboard, and develop high-performing team members.
  • Conduct weekly one-to-one meetings and departmental reviews.
  • Create and improve company policies, procedures, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Develop and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Improve operational efficiency and identify automation opportunities.
  • Manage operational budgets and monitor company expenditure.
  • Produce weekly and monthly performance reports for the CEO.
  • Coordinate projects across multiple departments.
  • Resolve operational issues and implement long-term solutions.
  • Ensure outstanding customer service standards.
  • Support business development and company growth initiatives.
  • Ensure deadlines and company objectives are consistently achieved.
  • Build a positive, accountable, and high-performance remote working culture.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Chief Operating Officer, Operations Manager, General Manager, or similar senior leadership role.
  • Proven experience managing remote teams across multiple departments.
  • Strong Business Planning and strategic leadership experience.
  • Demonstrated success improving operational processes and implementing scalable systems.
  • Excellent analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong financial management, budgeting, forecasting, and P&L experience.
  • Experience creating KPIs, dashboards, and management reporting.
  • Outstanding leadership and people management abilities.
  • Ability to make confident decisions and solve problems independently.
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience with CRM systems, project management software, Microsoft Office, and Google Workspace.
  • Experience within branding, marketing, customer experience, recruitment, SaaS, or service-based businesses is advantageous.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Finance, or a related discipline preferred.
  • MBA or equivalent qualification is an advantage.

  • Available to start immediately is preferred.

Working Hours

  • Full-time (40 hours per week).
  • Monday to Friday.
  • 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM (UK Time).
  • 1-hour unpaid lunch break.
  • Must be available during UK business hours.
  • Occasional flexibility may be required to attend meetings with international clients and remote teams outside standard working hours.
  • This is a senior leadership position, and additional hours may occasionally be required to meet business needs.
