As an autonomous practitioner, you will provide expert clinical care for patients undergoing upper and/or lower gastrointestinal endoscopy procedures. You will deliver safe, evidence-based endoscopic practice and contribute to high-quality diagnostic and therapeutic outcomes.
This role requires a high level of clinical expertise, decision-making autonomy, and a commitment to maintaining exemplary standards of patient care and service delivery within the Endoscopy Units.

- Undertake independent endoscopy lists at Northern Lincolnshire & Goole NHS Foundation Trust (Scunthorpe General Hospital and Diana, Princess of Wales Hospital), and provide cross-cover for Humber Health Partnership (Castle Hill Hospital and Hull Royal Infirmary) on occasion.
- Act as a specialist clinical resource supporting colleagues and contributing to the development of advanced practice to ensure Joint Advisory Group (JAG) accreditation standards/requirements.
- Work collaboratively within the MDT to develop, review, and implement Endoscopy policies, protocols, and clinical guidelines.
- Participate in audit and quality assurance processes, including complication tracking, outcomes analysis, waiting time performance, safety audits, and mortality reviews.
- Promote continuous clinical improvement, ensuring practice aligns with national standards ( BSG, JAG, NICE), Trust governance frameworks, and patient safety priorities.
- Support education and training, role model and provide specialist advice to junior staff, trainees, and members of the wider MDT.
You will join a team of four Clinical Endoscopists, collaborate closely with unit managers, service managers, and the clinical lead to ensure a cohesive, efficient and responsive service. You will form part of the wider MDT, contributing to collaborative patient-centered care, and consistent service standards across sites.
