Job Title:
Quality Control Technician

Reports to:
Quality and Safety Supervisor

Department:

Summary:
Responsible for conducting testing procedures during manufacturing processes to ensure that products comply with quality standards.

Duties:
Performs quality assurance inspection on work-in-progress and finished products to determine conformance with established specifications.
Inspects the products for any noticeable irregularities.
Conducts necessary testing of manufactured products using appropriate lab equipment and following established lab procedures.
Organizes and maintains quality data records for daily batches in both digital and physical formats.
Conducts tests on retains as needed as per customer requirements.
Conducts additional lab tests beyond the regular requirements.
Performs finished goods inspection of packaged products prior to movement to warehouse storage area.
Rejects defective materials and products and provides proper documentation and notification in support of inspection.
Communicate deviations from established specifications to all affected employees.
Work closely with all personnel in a safe and respectful manner to achieve quality and production goals.

Qualifications:
To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education/ Experience – High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Ability – Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical Ability – Ability to add and subtract two digits numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s. Ability to perform these operations using units of weight measurement and volume.
Reasoning Ability – Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills – To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of spreadsheet, word processing, database software, and E-mail.
