Quality Inspector Job Overview:
You will use a variety of hand inspection tools to conduct dimensional inspections, as well as conduct casting and weldment layout inspections. You will interpret manufacturing drawings and will need to have a good understanding of GD&T. This is a floor position that will require standing throughout the day up to 10 hours.
You’ll be a great fit if:
You can conduct first piece inspections, in accordance with Trace-A-Matic’s First Piece Inspection procedures and work instructions
You can conduct receiving inspection functions in accordance with Trace-A-Matic’s Receiving Inspection procedure and work instructions
You can conduct final inspection functions in accordance with Trace-A-Matic’s Final Inspection procedure and work instructions
You are able to audit in-process inspections
You can report results of all inspections to machinists and plant supervisors
You are able to conduct casting and weldment layout inspections
You can create accurate inspection reports
You can set up inspection gages
You can perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:
To be considered you’ll need:
A Highschool diploma or GED
3-5 years of experience in Quality Inspection required, preferably in a machining or fabrication environment
Ability to use a variety of hand inspection tools and ability to operate CMM
Good computer skills
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
A willingness to learn and grow
