Job Summary:
The Manufacturing Inspector ensures that products meet defined quality standards throughout the production process. This role involves inspecting raw materials, artwork (proofs), and finished goods using calipers and techniques to identify defects or deviations from specifications. Planning activities required such as writing up the job traveler (operation sheet/work order).
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct visual and dimensional inspections of raw materials, in-process parts, and finished products.
Prepare and perform AS9102 First articles inspection reports. Discuss planning activities with customers and production personnel.
Utilize tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges for measurement verification.
Record inspection results in reports, logs, and digital databases.
Assisting General Manager as needed.
Collaborate with production and quality teams to maintain compliance with quality standards.
Assist in root cause analysis and the implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Participate in internal audits and support quality certification initiatives (e.g., AS9100 & ISO 9001).
Communicate inspection findings effectively with relevant departments.
Qualifications:
Experience in quality control or inspection within a manufacturing environment.
Skilled in using inspection tools and instruments.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, true position, and tolerances.
Proficient in both verbal and written communication, with the ability to clearly convey information to cross-functional teams, vendors, and leadership.
Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, & Adobe.
