About the Role My client is looking for a dedicated and experienced Commercial Quality Manager to join their
Quality Assurance
team in Singapore. This role is integral to ensuring the consistent implementation of robust Quality Management Systems (QMS) across direct and indirect markets in Asia. You will serve as the key Quality Representative and point of escalation for quality-related matters within the region, working closely with commercial entities, distributors, and service providers to maintain compliance with local regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the implementation of the organization’s Quality Management System (QMS) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) at the country level.
Monitor and review performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and collaborate with
cross-functional teams
to drive quality enhancements.
Manage and guide Quality Operations personnel, ensuring effective quality management and
continuous improvement
across supply chain activities.
Lead incident management processes, including critical escalations, and provide analysis to mitigate potential risks.
Conduct internal audits, self-inspections, and ensure readiness for health authority inspections.
Provide quality oversight for third-party providers and manage quality aspects of new product introductions, complaint management, and artwork compliance.
Act as the key liaison between regulatory teams and distribution centers to ensure seamless compliance with local requirements.
Key Requirements
A tertiary qualification (BSc or equivalent) in chemistry, pharmacy, or a related field. Postgraduate qualifications are an advantage.
At least 10 years of experience in the Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical, or Consumer Healthcare industry.
Proven expertise in quality management, with a strong understanding of regulatory requirements and business needs.
Excellent
collaboration
and stakeholder management skills to build and maintain relationships at all organizational levels.
Strong
leadership
capabilities, especially in managing teams and navigating ambiguity or crisis situations.
