    Compliance Assistant & Internal Auditor

Location:

Motherwell

Salary:  Up to £37,500 (Depending on experience)

Hours:

Monday–Thursday 8am–5pm, Friday 8am–4pm

opportunity has arisen for a Compliance Assistant & Internal Auditor to join a well-established and

About the Role

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you’ll play a key role in maintaining a range of industry certifications, supporting

regulatory compliance

, and driving continual improvement across the business. The role requires effective coordination of audits, strong documentation skills, and a proactive mindset when it comes to improving internal systems and processes.

Key Responsibilities

 Support ongoing compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards

Maintain industry certifications such as CHAS, Construction line, Safe Contractor, and others

Plan and conduct internal audits across business functions and project sites

Analyse audit outcomes, identify trends, and recommend areas for improvement

Produce clear, structured audit reports for stakeholders

Collaborate with departments to develop and refine policies, procedures, and forms

Lead management reviews in alignment with business objectives and risk mitigation

Oversee compliance registers, including legal and environmental aspects

Complete and submit client pre-qualification documentation in a timely manner

Support external audit preparation and respond to auditor enquiries confidently

  What We’re Looking For

 Qualified Internal Auditor (IRCA-approved) in ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001

Experience managing integrated management systems and external audits

Excellent IT skills and the ability to manage documentation across multiple platforms

Strong

communication

and analytical abilities

Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel as required

Construction industry experience is advantageous
