Compliance Inspector – Houston Jobs in Houston, TX at Texas State Board of Pharmacy

The Quality Control Specialist will build and maintain good working relationships with our building contractors and field supervisors, communicate concerns and issues effectively with installers and ensure that we provide the highest quality of service to our clients while controlling costs. He or she works with subcontractors to maintain high quality job standards, conduct field audits and job site/safety inspections. He/She will be responsible for completing minor repairs on occasion. This role works with mobile technology such as a company-owned iPad and iPhone for reporting and communication purposes.

Candidates for this position must have previous experience in wood, carpet, vinyl or tile flooring. He or she must have strong interpersonal skills and a talent for working with variety of personalities. Good written communication skills, time management, professional dress, speech, and behavior are all required for this position. Verbal fluency in both English and Spanish is highly preferred, but is not required. Local metro area travel is required in this position, but very little-to-no overnight travel should be expected. The candidate must have very reliable transportation, as Quality Control Specialists are required to drive their own vehicle for work. A vehicle allowance as well as a fuel card will be included with the compensation package.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Works with subcontractors to maintain high quality job standards
Conducts field audits and job site/safety inspections
Makes repairs onsite as necessary, makes deliveries as needed
Address customer concerns and issues, escalating them as necessary for job completion and customer satisfaction
Respond to builder and/or post-sale customer concerns regarding warranty issues, repairs, and material or quality issues
Communicates with installers to insure clear understanding of job specifications and installation requirements to maintain high quality job standards
Work with account representatives in various departments to insure that complete and proper information is provided for work assignments
Occasional support of our Hilton Head and other South Carolina Locations may be required
Other duties as assigned

Previous experience in flooring operations and/or construction highly preferred
Experience with using iPhone and iPad
Reliable vehicle that can be used for work
Able to lift up to 50 pounds
Able to bend, kneel, squat, stand and lift heavy objects as needed
Must have satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR)
Must have reliable vehicle to drive for work
Experienced stick-shift driver a plus
