Job Overview
*Sample and perform testing on ready-mixed concrete at the production facility and job sites.
- Perform standard concrete tests in accordance with applicable ASTM and ACI procedures, including slump, air content,
temperature, unit weight, and strength/cylinder testing.
- Monitor concrete quality and verify mixes meet project specifications and company standards.
- Assist with the batching process and become familiar with the plant’s batching systems.
- Work with dispatch and operations, including truck tracking and assisting with customer concrete-volume calculations
when needed.
- Maintain accurate QC records, test reports, and documentation.
- Calibrate, maintain, and properly care for QC testing equipment.
- Assist plant operations, sales, and other departments as needed to maintain quality and customer satisfaction.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- ACI Grade I certification required / ACI Grade II prefered .
- Concrete quality-control or concrete technician experience preferred.
- Knowledge of ASTM and ACI concrete testing standards.
- Strong attention to detail and accurate record keeping.
- Ability to work at both the plant and job sites and work various hours as required by operations.
- Must follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively with plant personnel, drivers, dispatch, customers, and management.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
