Job purpose
Responsible for the management and execution of quality control programs and systems.
Duties and responsibilities
· Implementation, management, and improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS) to support on-time delivery of quality products to our customer.
· Travel to Chicago, IL facility (20-30 percent) to manage QMS program.
· Implementation and management of the IATF 16949 / ISO-9001 QMS Standard resulting in retention of IATF / ISO registrations in the NSF database.
· Lead internal auditor of the QMS to ensure that internal requirements, customer requirements, and IATF / ISO requirements are complied with.
· Assures that all quality control procedures and associated documentation are properly developed, verified, validated, updated and compliant with company policies and procedures.
· Assists in the development, implementation, maintenance of production related quality policies, procedures, programs and systems.
· Interface with customers on received CARS, managements of SCARs with suppliers, and related databases.
· Interface with customers for customer audits of our facilities.
· Designated management representative for QMS matters.
· Lead internal advisor to company on IATF 16949 / ISO 9001 matters.
· Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
· Degree in Metallurgy preferred
· Must have one of ASQ Certifications CMQ/OE; CQE; CQA, and all certifications are preferred.
· B.S. or five years’ QA experience
· Courses and/or seminars in quality-related subjects
· Strong managerial and interpersonal skills
· Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
· Computer and MS office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
· Wire processing knowledge
· Understanding of IATF 16949 / ISO 9001
· Demonstrated ability to lead an organization
· Team oriented individual
· Ability to think strategically, strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Working conditions
Requires standing, walking, bending, and twisting for duration of scheduled shift, exposed to noise and dust daily; safety glasses, metatarsal steel-toed shoes, hard hat, ear plugs, and high visibility clothing is required when on the production floor.
Physical requirements
Must be able to sit for long periods of time at computer.

Pay: $80,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
