QA/QC Inspector – CWI Certified (Refinery Focus)
An established industrial services provider is seeking an experienced QA/QC Inspector with a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) credential and a strong background in refinery inspection. This role is ideal for someone with a sharp eye for detail and a commitment to quality and safety standards in heavy industrial environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform inspections on welding activities, piping systems, and structural components to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards
Interpret and verify welding procedure specifications (WPS), procedure qualification records (PQR), and welder qualification tests (WQT)
Support non-destructive testing (NDT) processes, including RT, UT, MT, and PT, ensuring correct application and documentation
Validate incoming materials and components to confirm conformance with applicable codes and project requirements
Work alongside project teams to identify, document, and resolve quality issues in a timely manner
Maintain accurate records of inspections, test results, and quality reports
Ensure work is performed according to ASME, AWS, API, and other relevant industry codes
Qualifications:
Active Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification required
Strong knowledge of industry standards including ASME, AWS, API, and related specifications
Hands-on experience in refinery environments, with a focus on welding, pressure vessels, and process piping
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and technical documentation
Familiarity with a range of NDT methods and inspection tools
Strong communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills
