Position Overview
The Test and Validation team is taking responsibility for testing market specific Infotainment and Connect systems and services in North America by covering test and validation activities along the development process of vehicle models and services. Within this team, the Test Automation Engineer Infotainment & Connect ensures timely resolution for all topics belonging to the field of test automation activities, such as test case implementation, test execution and reporting together with the team of Validation Engineers and suppliers. This responsibility necessitates the capability of working well in a cross functional team as well as staying abreast of the latest technology in test automation.

Roles & Responsibilities
Analysis of requirement documents, conception, implementing and maintenance of test cases in automation tools
Implementation of test cases, including integration of new test devices and/or new testing technology
Planning, coordination and execution of test runs and tracking project targets
Evaluation and documentation of the test results as well as result feedback and coordination with the involved (customer) development departments
Assistance in the analysis of defect images
Support of the test management (planning, test coverage, coordination of qualifications, etc.)
Align with test managers regarding development milestones, Product Increment (PI) planning including deliverable and team performance
Actively supporting new team members and suppliers during onboarding process in terms of technical know-how, team structure, processes and tools
Working closely with international test automation teams in other locations to share project information, improve processes and enhance know-how exchange
Ensure the record of test activities in given systems, e. g. Atlassian Jira and Confluence and provide monthly reports to test managers

Required qualifications include:
Bachelor’s degree in Informatics, Computer Science or Electrical Engineering
2+ years of automotive industry experience in an engineering or related role
Good skills in at least one programming language, Python is preferred
Experience in connectivity and infotainment system, understanding general IT infrastructure and software architecture to implement vehicle connected services
Good communication skills; ability to present complex subject matter to a wide range of audiences
Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment
Experience with agile software testing projects and processes
Experience with Atlassian tool chain
ISTQB certified
Preferred qualifications include:
Advanced degree in Informatics, Computer Science or Electrical Engineering
Knowledge and experience with automotive control units and HiL systems
Innovative thinking, good communication and team-working skills as well as a high affinity for delivering first-quality engineering services to the customer
Good knowledge of Infotainment and Connected Car services as well as testing and validation of such systems
Experience in Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment methods
Prior experience with the German language and culture considered as a plus
Ideal candidates are tenacious, persistent, well-organized, flexible to adapt to various forms of challenges, process oriented and work well within a group
Percentage of required travel: <5% (domestic business trips, Europe) Schedule/Shift: 5:30,6:00am - Afternoon Physical Requirements Comfortable with physical exertion for 3-5 hour intervals Comfortable standing and walking for 3 – 5 hour intervals Ability to travel long distances in aircraft or via automobile (5+ hours) This job operates in an automotive workshop and office environment. However, it is important to note that at Porsche compensation range is dependent on geographic location. Individual salaries within each range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge and skillset. Porsche reviews compensation regularly and may adjust base salaries to reflect market competitiveness. In addition to salary, individuals may be eligible for a discretionary performance bonus.
